a wild bouquet

For one so sweet, gentle and free –
wild flowers collected by the Spree.
A gift for you, but treasure for me;
they sit in my van for company,
reminding me how you are so lovely.
Happy Birthday Beverley!

Much love and hugs xox

Antwerpen, Belgium

2days visiting friend and seeing town by bicycle in rain with frites and tasty beers.

– thats a floating crane in the foreground with a cafe/bar on it growing their own herbs, and that’s the fanciest hen house i ever did see!

Knockinelder, Ards Peninsula, Northern Ireland

Spent a day & night here reading ‘The Graveyard Book’ by N. Gaiman; spotted swallows while walking the shore and climbing 420 million year old rock formations.

Next day watched ‘Baraka’ before heading back to Belfast.

Fanad Head, Donegal. Ireland

Spent a weekend away a few weeks ago, travelling around north of Donegal. Was so beautiful and clear and crisp.

Even good enough for a quick dip or two in the ocean 🙂

release

nothing to hold, the firm grip lost,
i fell.
tumbling over and around,
down through the dark unknown.
trepidation: frightening and overwhelming;
exhilarated, lightened, free –
i’d let go.

landing so soft, the path is found,
i tread.
pacing upon new ground,
further through the dark unknown.
inspiration: challenging and completing;
enriched, rewarded, i see –
i’ve come home.
